Got a reminder sent by Babara?
Last updated 27 September 2026
Babara is a small service that businesses and freelancers use to send friendly reminders about unpaid invoices. Here’s what that means for you.
Who sent me this reminder?
The business named in the email: in the sender name, the heading and the signature. They use Babara to send polite reminders about their own invoices. Babara isn’t a debt collector and never handles the money.
Why did I get it?
That business entered your email address as the contact for one of their invoices. If that’s a mistake, open the pay page from the email and tap “Not expecting this email?”. The reminders stop straight away and the business is told.
What does Babara know about me?
Only what the business entered (usually your name, email address and the invoice details), what you choose on the pay page (a visit, “I’ve paid”, a promised date or a question) and any reply you send to the reminder. Babara’s emails contain no tracking pixels, and pay pages set no cookies.
How do I stop the emails?
Tap “Not expecting this email?” on the pay page, or reply to the email and tell the sender. Paying, promising a date or saying you’ve already paid also pauses the reminders.
Is this email genuine?
Babara never asks for card details or passwords. The pay button goes to the sender’s own payment page (for example Stripe or PayPal) or shows their bank details. If you’re unsure, contact the business using details you already have, not the ones in the email.
What about my privacy rights?
The business that sent the reminder decides how your details are used; Babara processes them on its behalf. You can ask that business, or write to privacy@babara.app and we’ll help or pass your request on.
